There’s a reason for every ‘season’ at FIT4MOM

“I first met Ginger in December of 2015 when she was 4 1/2 months pregnant with baby number three. She had asked me about becoming an instructor before she had even taken a class - that hardly ever happens; so my first response was to have her come and see first hand what we did for our community of moms and littles. As soon as she attended her first class she didn’t even hesitate - she wanted to get certified in Stroller Strides right away. We got her onboard and she began teaching classes in our Springfield location. Shortly after our Burke village opened we shifted Ginger to teaching there since it was closer to her home. Moms and kiddos fell in love with Ginger right from the start. She is such a patient, kind and generous person. Her calm demeanor and thoughtfullness make motherhood look so easy. The Burke moms had a great role model to lead classes for them. Over the past two years we’ve been very fortunate to have Ginger on our team. Ginger, Jay, Addy and Finn will be missed dearly and we wish her all the best in her new ‘season’ of life.

“When I first started teaching Stroller Strides, I thought, “What a genius way to get a workout, talk to other moms, and keep my kids entertained and not have to pay for child care!” And that’s what it was, all of those things. Until it became so much more.
I started teaching at the Springfield Mall, and I enjoyed it, but I think I really found myself when I started teaching at Burke Lake Park. Those who have taken my classes there know I like to run and I like to be outdoors. So even when the fall came and we moved indoors to Abiding Presence, if weather permitted, we took much or most of our classes outdoors. I feel like something special happens when we are out moving our bodies outside with nature. Anyway, through all this wonderful activity, I also really got to know the moms and their kids. Nowhere else have I seen so much love and compassion from moms, to moms. The workout gives us this purpose to be in the same place at the same time, and gives us something to bond over and do together; but staying after class to play/chat, and forming impromptu meet ups are where we take this bonding moment into a real relationship.
That’s what I’ll miss the most. Seeing the same moms, and awesome new moms, every week and sharing all this love and compassion with each other. Sure, I’ll work out and get outside and I’ll keep singing to my kids and encouraging them to be active, but I won’t get that same experience I got every week from my class. I won’t get to see all those beautiful faces that remind me that no matter how hard it is, we are all experiencing tremendous challenges and pure joy every day. I take comfort in that I know I am not alone, and I know so many amazing moms who are also having similar experiences, who understand, and who support. Thank you especially to my Burke Moms, I have so much love and gratitude for you all!”

~Ginger Mallory, Stroller Strides Instructor

“Ginger and I met at the Grand Opening of the Burke Location. We were the two pregnant ladies who happened to both be due in May and thus a friendship was born. Shortly after meeting, Ginger began teaching classes. As a life-long fitness fanatic, I quickly realized how lucky I was - I was blessed to have an instructor who knew fitness and understood me as a mother. We were able to watch Ginger balance motherhood with three children through its ups and downs - all with a smile on her face. I found myself adjusting my schedule so I could make as many of Ginger's classes as I could. I felt lucky to attend a workout class where soreness was a guarantee yet with an instructor who was able to provide you with exactly what you needed emotionally, physically, and mentally. This community was blessed to have an instructor like Ginger and she will be greatly missed. While I am grateful that she entered my life and was able to be part of my journey over the past two years, I am most grateful for the friendship she provided. Thank you Ginger!”

“Ginger has been an absolutely amazing instructor and is adored by our village. She is passionate about what she does and is attentive to all the moms and kiddos. She knows how to keep everyone engaged with her playful games and songs and goes all out to entertain the kiddos. What is most incredible to me is how she does all this while juggling three little ones of her own! She has always gone above and beyond for her classes and we're sure going to miss her!”

~Jessica Short, Burke Village Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre Mama

“Ginger is quite simply a beautiful soul. From her warm joyful smile to her amazing knowledge of health and fitness, this woman is one incredible human being! Her children, husband, friends and clients, are so lucky to have her. Love you, Ginger!”
