Ready to find out more about our Team?
Meet our awesome team member, BECKY KRISPIN!
We have an amazing, dedicated and talented team of instructors and playgroup captains here at FIT4MOM LSBWK NoVa, and we want you to get to know a little more about each one of them. So for July, we'll put the spotlight on Becky Krispin, Body Back, Run Club and Stroller Strides Instructor.
"Becky was initially my ‘Facebook page stalker’. She had been following my first grand opening at Lorton Station, but couldn’t attend because her double BOB hadn’t arrived from Hawaii yet (US Navy family!). Once her household goods arrived she immediately signed up for class and hasn’t looked back since.
Becky became my first instructor! Her smile and positive energy are very contagious and that is what I love most about her. Being bigger than life and loving everything that we stand for meant the world to me. Just what I needed. Not only is Becky a team member, she is also a very close friend. Our families have really hit it off!
Becky is a now a SAHM and a reservist in the US Navy. This is why she was called to duty May 2016. That meant we were to ‘lose’ her on our team for ONE YEAR! Low and behold, as we all know, time does fly by rather quickly. Here we are one year later and I get to welcome her back to our active team.
We hope you are as excited as we are to have her back – be sure to check out one of Becky’s classes as she slowly transitions to being a SAHM again. You’ll see her on the schedule for Stroller Strides, Body Back and Run Club!"

1. Who are the members of your family?
My family includes my wonderful and supportive husband Sean, our son Evan who is 5, and daughter Charlotte who is 3.
2. Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in NoVa?
I was raised in a Navy family and eventually joined myself. This has given me the opportunity to live all over this great country. We moved to NoVA August 2014. I returned last month after a year away on Active Duty in Norfolk.
3. Where do you typically teach?
I primarily have taught in Springfield and Burke. Stay tuned for where I will be later this summer! I teach Stroller Strides, Body Back, and Run Club.
4. Tell us your story about how/why you became an instructor for FIT4MOM LSBW NoVa.
I joined Stroller Strides shortly after transitioning from Active Duty Navy to Stay at Home Mom in 2014. I sought out this franchise when we moved here later that year from Hawaii and loved everything about it. I became a Stroller Strides instructor about 5 months later and was excited to lead and share my passion for fitness. I received my Body Back certification a year later and did Run Club certification this summer.
5. What is your favorite thing to teach?
That is tough because I love everything Fit4Mom offers! I love the uniqueness of Fun4Baby in the Stroller Strides workouts but I would say my favorite is Body Back. It provides a more intimate training environment and members experience amazing mind and body transformations.
6. What is the BEST thing about being an instructor? What is your WHY?
The best part of being an instructor is being able to share my enthusiasm and love for fitness. The human body is an amazing vessel, especially a woman’s body. We create and deliver life!!! I love when we are able to push our physical limits to accomplish difficult challenges. There is a mental boost that comes with physical achievement. I want all our members to be able to have that experience!
My “why” of being a Fit4Mom instructor is the connections and friendships you will make in this community. I didn’t truly understand this until I left for a year. Anyone can go to a gym or put in a DVD at home, but Fit4Mom offers a unique connection to self, baby, instructors, and other mothers that you won’t find anywhere else! This village offers friendships built on wellness where we inspire and support each other to be better women and mothers! We are inclusive, not exclusive. I continue to teach so that I can help reach #allthemoms!
7. What is one of your current wellness goals?
My current wellness goal is to return to a more emotionally and physically balanced place as I come back to SAHM life. Spending the last year away on active duty (I’m a US Navy Reservist) from my spouse was challenging. I look forward to returning to my purpose and passion.
8. What is a fun fact that many may not know about you?
I was featured on National Geographic Explorer episode “Super Carrier” as an F/A-18 aviator in 2006.
9. Anything else you'd like Our Village to know?
I am excited about leading Run Club later this summer. I have over 20 years of running experience and have raced many races ranging from 5K to marathon. I look forward to sharing my love of running with others!
Welcome back, Becky, to our village. Thank you for your service but we are so glad you are back!
*Join Becky as she transitions back onto our instructor schedule. She teaches Stroller Strides and Body Back at various locations and later this summer she will also be the Run Club coach for our next session – stay tuned!
Check back in August for our next instructor spotlight.
